Reserve a Puppy

If you are interested in our current or upcoming litters, please fill out the interest form, located on our Contact Us page. We only open the Reservation List and accept reservation fees after the breeding has taken place. Our Interest Lists are based on preferred size and breed of puppy rather than individual litters. Families on the Interest List will be contacted when we open our Reservation List (after the pregnancy is confirmed with an ultrasound) and be given the opportunity to pay the reservation fee just prior to opening the reservation list on-line. To notify these interested families, we will send out an email in order by date of when the families first contacted River Doodles, starting with families who contacted us approximately 18 months prior.  Each email will be sent to approximately 20 families, and then the next email will be sent to the next group of families.  Families will have 24 hours to reply to the email and make the reservation fee before we move on to the next group of families. When your name comes up on the list, you will receive emails for any of our possible litters based on the size/breed you selected (not generation).  If you choose to pass on a reservation, you will still remain on the list and move closer to the top of the list as other families unsubscribe or get a puppy.  We will start back at the top (approximately 18 months prior) of our reservation list each time we send out emails for a new litter.  

DO NOT send us a reservation fee if you have not received an email from us.  Once you have received an email stating that a particular reservation list is open, then you can pay the fee.  Prior to making a $300 non-refundable reservation fee, please ask any questions you may have.  We want you to feel completely comfortable purchasing the newest member of your family.  To pay the fee or final payment, please refer to our Prices & Policy page.  You can pay the fee using PayPal by clicking the Buy Now button to the right on our Policy page.

As stated on our Prices & Policy page, the reservations for a puppy are in order of the reservation fees received.  Please fill out the Reservation and Information Form located on our policy page.  Once the form is filled out and signed, please email it back to us and submit with the fee. Reservation fees will only be refunded if you paid your fee prior to the puppies being born and we do not have enough of the gender you requested.  We will not refund a fee due to hair type or the size of the puppy in the litter. 

Selecting a Puppy

You will be able to select a puppy in Orange Co, CA according to your place on the Reservation List when the puppies are six weeks old.  At that time, we will place individual pictures of the puppies on our website and you will have the option of either picking a puppy from the pictures (with our help to answer any questions) or coming in person to select your puppy. We will schedule the families to choose their pup approximately 1.5 hours apart in order of the reservation number.  Once a family has made their decision, we will put the families name next to the picture of the pup on our website so the later families will know which pups have been reserved.    

If there is not a puppy available with the markings or personality that you are interested in, you may apply your reservation fee to the next available litter or future litter of your choice (if that litter is not currently reserved) within 1 year from your date of reservation fee.
